We checked in on a Thursday evening and noticed the upper 2 floors were pretty hot. Figured the AC had just been turned down and it would cool off by the time we got back from supper. It was hotter upstairs when we got back. Called IR and was told they’d have someone out the next day. We had to sleep on the couches on the first floor the first night. HVAC guy came the next morning and had to replace the thermostat, he was a nice guy. The condo is in disrepair, needs paint and drywall fixed, very dated, kitchen is not well stocked, not enough glasses nor silverware for more than 4-5 people, broken floor tiles, etc. Definately not as advertised. After reading posted reviews it seems like these issues have been brought to IR’s attention several times but nothing has been done to fix these issues. Way too much money for a condo that needs major work to be as advertised. Wouldn’t use IR again due to these issues . When you are on vacation I don’t want to have to sleep on a old couch or have to spend my time begging the rental company to fix the AC. All of these issues should have been taken care of before we arrived. Guess IR doesn’t really care about their customers.

We were mostly pleased with the place. Slept 6-8 people but only had 5 forks. What’s up with this? I guess the owner doesn’t entertain much. Also please get a new thermostat for upper levels. This one is impossible to figure out.

Ice maker didn’t work. AC went out on the 2nd day but Island Realty had that fixed promptly. They are awesome!

This was not a villa that I would rent again. It was basic, at best. Upstairs bedrooms were uncomfortably hot. Thermostat for upper floors was broken. Icemaker was broken. None of the bathrooms would be considered a “master bathroom” - all very, very small. Kitchen had minimal utensils, glassware, etc. Villa on arrival day was ok clean, definitely not satisfactory. Deck furniture needs replacing. *One labeled parking spot, which is very small. Disappointed in this rental. Not worth the money.

Great place for families! The location was great. Property was just as the photos showed. Assigned parking spot was in a nice shady area. Close to the pool and beach. Only caveat about the unit is that the upstairs primary bedroom does get warmer than the rest of the unit. You’ll need to keep drapes closed during the day to minimize heat. Kitchen has plenty of pots and pans to cook dinner, but I’d recommend property managers add salt and pepper to the spice rack. The resort was fantastic. We’d come back.

Great home. Awesome views. Lots of room and privacy with layout of bedrooms. Very clean however area rugs should be refreshed and kitchen items replenished (dinner ware, drink ware, pans are worn or missing). Overall great property and would stay again in the future.

While this property was adequate, these improvements needed. Needs a new paint job and windows cleaned. There needs to be a manual on how to operate the TVs.Would be nice to have beach towels. Very nice pool.Would be nice to have hair dryers.

Based on previous 3 bed 3 bath properties we have stayed at, we were disappointed in this one. Most importantly the Wi-Fi was not sufficient for our needs. We couldn't run multiple TVS or rely on it for important computer work unless we were sitting right next to the modem. Also, the kitchen layout was difficult and the ceiling in one of the bedrooms was crumbling. Finally, the outside water in the complex was off for at least 4 days. We had a fun vacation nonetheless.

Great location. Awesome view from top floor. Bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and beds comfortable. The kitchen and main living space could use some freshening up - new paint and replace several cracked tiles. The kitchen could use more bakeware and cutlery. A/C unit and refrigerator were very loud when running but that didn't both us at all! Overall, enjoyed our stay.

The location and amenities (pool and beach access) of the property were excellent. The condo was comfortable and met our needs in regard to kitchen and living space. The floors needed a good wash downstairs and there are nails in the stairs to the second floor that need to be hammered back into the steps. It could use some touch-up painting and there are many cracks in the tile floors in the kitchen. I paid for the privacy and beach access, so was overall very satisfied with the property.

We've stayed in many condos in Wild Dunes, usually booked through Island Realty (IR). We've never had a problem with the condos or IR. But this condo, which sleeps up to 8 was very disappointing. Not enough silverware for five people to get thru 1 day. Broken 12x12 tile in the kitchen with chips that tear bare feet. Three stair treads to 2nd floor with nails protruding in the middle that snag bare feet. A dryer that doesn't work. Filthy floors that need desperately need mopping. Not enough bath and hand towels and wash clothes. Contacted IR via text and email to fix all of these issues and NO RESPONSE. Also the twin bed in the 2nd floor bedroom has BED BUGS. Will totally reconsider using Island Realty ever again. IR is usually responsive but this time we heard nothing!

The location and layout of the unit is terrific. However, it is in need of refreshing from replacing all chipped dishes and mismatched flatware, a dining table that is not attached to the base, rug tape on the living room floor, chipped tile throughout, nail pops on the staircase, bathrooms with mold on fixtures, a noisy furnace, a missing door to the washer/dryer closet and stained furniture throughout. We had difficulty with the tv unit and heating (winter rental) that required service several times. Island Realty was quick in trying to resolve some of the issues

We loved the property, perfect for a smaller group. The living room and balcony were awesome for group hang outs. The only downside is the unit is loud and most noises can be heard in the twin sized bedroom, since it's windows overlook the living room. The appliances need some work, most of them are outdated, and the AC unit in the kitchen blows so loud you have to turn the tv up loud when it's on. Would rent again due to price and location.

This comfortably fit a family of 5. The rooms had multiple USB chargers, which is handy for the variety of electronics. The kitchen was clean, with a variety of dishes for snacks, cooking and drinking. Fantastic view of the the pool and ocean from the porches. And the 3rd floor porch offered wonderful sunrise views for the mornings you wanted to sip tea and watch the world go by.

We Spent Christmas with family in the area. The Condo was clean, roomy and efficient. We had 6 family members stay at the house. There was plenty of room to spread out. The location has views of the beach and pool, a short walk to the beach and ample parking for our group.

Great location with quick access to pool and beach.
The layout of the condo was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 3 children.
The dining table should have been bigger. It only had 4 chairs, although the bar behind it had 3 tall chairs.

We have stayed on the isle of palms for quite a few years now, never in the wild dunes area. Totally awesome experience. Tranquil, the grounds were beautiful, relaxing,friendly, plenty to do whatever you want. A wonderful experience we will differently be back ❤️.

Condo was in a great location, we enjoyed having multiple bedrooms & having a place with 3 different levels. Nice view of the pool & ocean from balcony(s). Beach was close walking distance (great for small kids) and the beach was nice. I would definitely recommend paying extra for setup of umbrellas & chairs on the beach. The condo could use several updates (some patio furniture was broken, not a good variety of kitchen utensils/lots of miss matched dishes, furniture worn, etc.). We just expected better condition overall of the condo for the price paid. We would go back to the condo complex - but would try another condo.

The unit definitely needs some TLC. The sink downstairs is loose and is quite rusty
The dishwasher has old baskets or different baskets and don’t sit well in the bottom. The queen bed squeaks so bad it was waking the kids up in the twin room. Some Of the pots had no matching lids. Also the couch was quite dirty. We put a blanket over it. The house was not very clean. The floors were filthy. My granddaughters feet were black after walking on them. Both decks were dirty. The chairs outside were falling apart.
The one good thing was the location. We like wild dunes. Have stayed Here numerous times.
Pool and ocean view was great.
I will be back To IOP but would not stay in this unit.

Nice location but “tired” or missing items. Only 4 chairs for dining table, 6 are pictured in photos. Minimal dishes, coffee mugs. A neighbor heard us talking and donated 6 of her coffee mugs. We left some wine glasses to the cause. Nice layout and great views from master suite. Great potential

The condo was nice. It could have used a bit more attention to detail in cleaning. You do not get very many channels at all on the TV. The condo is very spacious and I loved the view. Overall it’s a great place to stay!

This condo was a great value with the fall special being offered. If I had any critique of the property it’s that everything other than the kitchen is a little dated. Scraped paint on lots of the trim/woodwork, dated bathrooms, slow draining tub in the third floor bathroom. Very limited cable. Most kitchen items were provided but could be better, I.e. needs whole sets of measuring spoons & cups. Most of the games in the condo couldn’t be played due to missing pieces.

Great view and location. Condo needs some tlc. A walk through inspection would help. Ceiling needed patching, doorwal screens need wheels repaired, window in 2nd bedroom lost seal and is fogged, window in kitchen painted shut, furniture could be cleaned. May seem trivial but would make the rental cost seem easier to accept.

The condo (Mariner) we stayed had a beautiful view of grounds and ocean. Grounds well kept! The condo in general was nice however the patio’s were dirtly and patio furniture not in great shape. No umbrella on 3rd floor balcony which was a disappointment.There was a leak inside the condo when it rained. The inside furniture was dirty and worn, no were to park a golf cart that I was looking forward to renting. The over all cost of this rental was overpriced. The staff at the rental office were very accommodating . Everything thing needed for entertainment at your finger tips!

We loved our condo at Mariner's Walk! It slept our group perfectly and was nicely decorated. The location was ideal in that it was close to the pool and the beach. The pool was never crowded, which we appreciated as well. By hanks for the great vacay!
